For 54 years, The Billie Holiday Theatre has been a home for Black storytelling, culture, and community — uplifting unapologetic voices across theater, dance, film, music, and the arts. From serving more than 25,000 people annually through our programming to supporting artists, students, and families across Central Brooklyn and beyond, The Billie continues to honor legacy while pushing culture forward.

Now, thanks to Brooklyn.Org’s Brooklyn Backs Brooklyn initiative, every new individual donation made before October 1 will help unlock a $10,000 matching grant for The Billie.

Your support helps sustain artist opportunities, free community programming, youth arts education, Black storytelling, and a cultural institution rooted in Brooklyn for more than five decades.
